    What is the difference between Subscriber and Bidder?

    A.

    Members are divided into Subscriber and Bidder. The differences are s as follows.

    Subscriber: Manage favorite works, follow artists
    Bidder: In addition to the functions of Subscriber, Bidder can participate in live bidding, apply for bidding by absentee and by telephone, check with successful bid history and live bidding history, check with and change application status for absentee and telephone bid.

    You can register as a bidder after the subscriber registration.

    How to do the registration?

    There are two types of membership: Subscriber and Bidder.

    Subscriber Registration
    Please enter an e-mail address as an ID and password. We will send you a registration URL by email and please complete the registration via the URL.

    Bidder Registration
    After registering as Suscriber, please enter the necessary information such as your name and address from the Bidder registration, and upload your identity verification documents. As soon as we can confirm your identity, the Bidder registration will be completed.

    Anyone can participate. Please register as a bidder at the reception on the day and present your identity card for the identity confirmation

    Starting price will be close to the low estimate. For No Reserve, it will start from half of the low estimate. However, there may be irregularities depending on the progress of the auction, all of which are at the discretion of the auctioneer.

    It is required to register as a bidder in order to place a bid. For live bidding, it is required to complete the bidder registration before the auction.

Telephone Bid

    How do I register for a telephone bid?

    A.

    You may register for Telephone Bid through our homepage, or fill out the Telephone Bid Form at the back of our catalogue and send it to us by post, fax or email by 18:00 (JST) the day before the auction.
    Please refer to Bid Increments for bidding prices. Please offer a price above the low estimate of the work (55% and more of the low estimate for No Reserve works). If we are unable to reach you by phone for any reason, we will bid for you according to the prices stated on your form.

    What is the procedure after the successful bid?

    We will send the invoice for the successful lot and delivery instruction form to your registered address after the auction.
    After confirming the amount on the invoice, please complete the payment by bank transfer. Please fill in the delivery method on the delivery instruction form and send it back ot us. We will arrange shipping and pick-up by the method stated after confirming the payment.
    Customers who live in overseas will be contacted separately by email.

    Is the valuation free of charge?

    A.

    It is free of charge for valuation. Based on the information you provide, we will notify you of a provisional estimate, the consignment way and the Conditions of Consignment. We can also recommend better markets for your work, such as Tokyo and Hong Kong. In the case of consigning to auctions held in Hong Kong, we will bear the shipping fee to the venue.

    Herewith the charges may occur for the consignment.
    Consignment fee, catalogue fee, storage fee, insurance fee, appraisal fee, etc.
    *Consignor is responsible for the shipping fee for the work.

    Is there any charges occurred if the consignment remains unsold?

    A.

    No. The consignment fee only incur when the consigned item is sold.
    Other incurred fees (such as appraisal fees) will still be charged even if the item is unsold. All these conditions will be explained at the time when the item is consigned.

    How long does it take for the payment after the auction?

    In principle, we will proceed with the procedures so that payment can be made within 50 days from the date of the auction.

    Payment shall be made in cash or by bank transfer. We also accept credit cards (charges apply).

    We accept credit cards (VISA/MASTER). Additional 5% charges applies on the total payment amount if paying by credit card.

    What if my payment cannot be made before the payment deadline?

    What about the customs duties, import tax, etc.?

    Tax may be levied if the purchased work sending out of Japan and import it into another country. Tax systems of other countries varies, please kindly consult with your shipper.

    How can I get my successful bids?

    A.

    Works will be delivered after confirmation of the full payment. If you would like to pick up your work at our office or designated warehouse, or if you would like to have it delivered, please let us know by returning the filled Delivery Instruction Form. The shipping fee and insurance fee will be borne by the bidder.

    Can I arrange the shipment?

    You can come to our office or designated warehouse to pick up, request the delivery, or request packing and delivery by your designated carrier.
